‘THE DEVILS FRUIT’


An anachronistic interpretation of the character Salome.
A world in which strippers, like comic book super heroes have alter ego’s and supernatural powers.

The film follows Salome as a hot, trash, rock stripper. We see her despondent in her dressing room, eyes over cast with day dreams and visions,the rattle of demonic voices tinkling in the background; She is a concubine of the devil - ‘The Devils Fruit’.
The reflections we catch of her in her dressing table mirror are that of her alter self, a rapacious vision of seduction and energy, supernatural and possessed  in her movements. Futuristic colored plastic and exotic print outfits adorn her body, contrasting the denim and leather of her stripper get up.
The visions are cut short abruptly by the real world as she enters the stage for her solo audience.
As she starts to dance and move we see Salome transforming into her alter self, enhanced by music, pace and fashion. Exuding female power and raw sexuality. As the momentum builds we see her transition into an alternate universe of surreal heightened energy, where her audience manifest as surreal objects and succumb to the dark powers of her triumphant, twisted and exotic dance.

This is a logo I created for the Red Bull Catwalk Studio. Where they pair designers with Musicians to create bespoke pieces of music for the designers cat walk show. This season see's Charlie XCX matched with the wonderful Fred Butler.

PALOMA FAITH X ALEX NOBLE X CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

So the big reveal for the starlet wearing the Totem dress was Paloma Faith. She's a creative force to be reckoned with and it was a real pleasure to work with her. In her true distinct and original style, she wore the already avante garde gown and adorned it with statement accessories and tribal face paint. I loved it and think we should celebrate our English eccentrics as opposed to question them as some of the press on this did. I say SHUT UP miserable journalists. Dress down and that is what your outlook on life and others will be! Go PALOMA!
